iamasadlittleboy
Witter was apparently the ****er once again losing a unanimous decision to Lupo. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/lupo-shocks-witter-76043 *I didn't see the fight so can't comment, though someone on betfair said he was down 9 times... Now where are those saying Witter would have been a better opponent than McCloskey?...
donlevy
Ater Hatton loses to Alvarez,Witter should try and get a fight with him for one decent payday before retiring. No real risk for Hatton to fight Witter at this point.

Did you watch the fight, don? Hatton is just that little bit more entertaining than Witter, so if the two fought, it would make for one boring match. brooklynbrawler
Re: Witter spoilers Witter was apparently the ****er once again losing a unanimous decision to Lupo. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/lupo-shocks-witter-76043 *I didn't see the fight so can't comment, though someone on betfair said he was down 9 times... Now where are those saying Witter would have been a better opponent than McCloskey?... He was pushed down a bunch of times... He had the early parts of the fight, and then Lupo figured him out, and he just tried to spoil the rest of the day. HE was deducted a point for clinching eventually, but was holding on all the way through the fight. His movement went after the 4th round and he just tried to smother Lupo without offering much back himself. Lupo fouled a fair bit, but the 9 times thing is a bit of a red herring and a bit of a nonsense as it was almost all pushes and leaning. WelshDevilRob
Upset: Lupo shocks Witter In his first fight since August 2009, former WBC super lightweight champion Junior Witter (37-4-2, 22 KOs) shockingly lost a ten round majority decision against Victor Lupo (19-1-2, 9 KOs) in a welterweight bout on Saturday night at the Hershey Centre, Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. Witter frustrated Lupo with his constant clinching, but ran out of gas late in the fight. Scores were 97-92, 96-94, 95-95. Witter was deducted a point for holding in round nine and spent a lot of time on the canvas totally gassed. With the win, Lupo claims the vacant WBC Silver International title.
