RAZZ-MCFC
When can we expect to see you in the ring once again? First of all, I'm retiring in December. Regardless of what happens, I'm going to call it quits in December because I've spoken to my family about it. For health reasons, I don't want to stick around in the sport and allow anything to happen to me. So, as I've said, I have spoken to my family, and we have decided that this is it, no matter what happens. http://boxing.fanhouse.com/2011/02/19/marco-antonio-barrera-on-manny-pacquiao-erik-morales-and-more/
WelshDevilRob
Guy is a Legend and has done a helluva lot in the sport. December seems a great time to retire.
donlevy
I recall him making a similar statement leading up to the rematch with Pacquiao.Anyway, doesn't make sense for him to continue fighting.
Donkeywater
Yeah, frankly, I would've preferred it if he had stayed in retirement the last time. Watching him get tonked by Amir Khan wasn't a pleasant experience. He's past his best. He can no longer hang with the elites and the wins he has chalked up since returning has done absolutely nothing for his legacy.

londoner
I hope he retires and does something worthwhile like training the next batch of top fighters.
