grapevine241
basically my question is, does a fighter's credibility suffer by hiring someone as infamous as victor conte? FYI, andre ward and nonito donaire are both current clients of victor conte.
iamasadlittleboy
Yes. Just like fighters associated with Panama Lewis and Margarito's old trainer. Doesn't mean they aren't good fighters (Giovanni Segura is one associated with Capetillo I think to) but they will always have that smear on their names for fans who look deeply. grapevine241
yeah thats how i feel as well. it amazes me that fighters would even risk being associated with a guy like conte (or lewis or capetillo). conte cant be that good that there is no one else that could offer the same service without the risk
WelshDevilRob
Is Conte the one linked with all that Balco stuff?

WelshDevilRob
Thanks guys. It don't mean the fighters are guilty but you should be keeping away from Conte. Not saying Conte is guilty or not reformed but why deal with him?
iamasadlittleboy
Exactly that Rob, I don't think Ward especially would be on anything knowingly but why risk it?
grapevine241
yeah, especially since what mosley was on was undetectable. not accusing anyone of anything btw, but its strange to deal with someone so shady
donlevy
I think we underestimate just how wide-spread steroid usage is throughout all sports.

grapevine241
Is the toughest drug testing in the Euro zone - under Germany/Hungry? not sure. problem with the USA is that each state has its own commissions
iamasadlittleboy
theres a german Tv company that will only show you if you do their testing, thats a good step forward imo

Conte is a man who is cutting edge type technology, think outside the box type person. His reputation is forever tainted for the PED scandal. He might have a change of heart and he might deserve a second chance..., However, you're in a sport where you only have one chance!? Should of made the best of it the first time around and stayed legit! His reputation could and very well, will have an affect on how some view the fighters that he works with. Hes Gone Jim
Yup. Not saying they're guilty but why on earth associate with a man like Conte?
