Faulks
Bob Arum: Manny Pacquiao's next fight will be in November, Floyd Mayweather top priority By Josh Slagter | The Grand Rapids Press While Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley embarked on a press tour to promote their May 7 fight in Las Vegas, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum already has set his sights on the Filipino star's next bout. Floyd Mayweather remains on Arum's wish list for November, despite past failed negotiations. "Floyd is still our number one priority," Arum told reporters in Las Vegas on Saturday. "We want to find out if he’s available or what his legal status is. Right now I have no idea." Mayweather's boxing future remains unknown, as he faces four felony and four misdemeanor charges in Las Vegas, where he lives, stemming from a domestic-violence arrest in September. He faces up to 34 years in prison if convicted on all counts. Mayweather also has a case involving a security guard who alleges the boxer poked him in the eye. The Grand Rapids native and Arum met up at Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium. Even though Pacquiao has fought twice at Jerry Jones' $1.2 billion stadium -- against Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito -- Arum said it wouldn't be the site of a Mayweather-Pacquiao bout. "If it's Floyd, then it's certainly in Vegas," Arum said. Arum also mentioned Juan Manuel Marquez and Andre Berto as possible future opponents for Pacquiao. Pacquiao must not have been far from Mayweather's mind this weekend, as he tweeted out YouTube links to the three fights Pacquiao has lost: Feb. 1996 vs. Rustico Torrecompo, Sept. 1999 vs. Medgoen Singsurat and March 2005 vs. Erik Morales. And Pacquiao can't make a public appearance without being asked about Mayweather. "I really don't know. I don't know what's in (Mayweather's) mind," Pacquiao told reporters on the press tour. "But, you know, I'm not disappointed or angry with him. I just pray that everything will be okay in his personal problems so he can fight again in the ring and people can see him." http://www.mlive.com/mayweather/index.ssf/2011/02/bob_arum_manny_pacquiaos_next_1.html? edsel77x
I don't understand what posting vids of one of the greatest fighter that ever lived? Appearently I loss to Mayweather means something different to us. I feel he has it all backwards. All great champions lost (except Maricano, but he still would be considered great if he lost one or two or three). Anyway, a repeat of two failed negotiations. I hope the fight never happens and Manny fights Berto or Arum lets him fight Sergio Martinez or someone of note then he retires.

Nobody who loses to a rapidly declining Erik Morales is " one of the greatest fighters who ever lived " It isn't the losses that matter, its who they are against, and at what stage of their careers ( the victors ) that make the difference. McBride
McBride... how would you rank marquez, morales, barrera, and pacquiao? In their primes and at 130 i'd say MAB, Morales, Pakow, JMM in that order.
