Faulks
INJURY FORCES GROVES TO PULL OUT George Groves has been ruled out of Saturday's Liverpool Olympia card through injury. The Commonwealth super-middleweight champion has picked up an injury in training that will, he says, keep him out of the gym for seven to 10 days. Groves was due to box on the undercard of the British lightweight title clash between John Watson and Anthony Crolla. It would have been his first time in the ring since his Fight of the Year contender last December when he climbed off the canvas to stop Kenny Anderson on the undercard of David Haye's demolition of Audley Harrison. It is not the first time Groves has seen his plans scuppered recently. The Anderson fight was put together at short notice after the Saint's original opponent, James Obede Toney, was deemed unable to fight due to cataract problems. Saturday's bill will still go ahead, with British super-featherweight champion Crolla stepping up to take on Watson for the vacant British lightweight belt. Former British and European light-welterweight champion Colin Lynes is also scheduled to appear - his first fight in eight months since being stopped by Ajose Olusegun for the Commonwealth title. http://www.sportinglife.com/boxing/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=boxing/11/02/09/manual_085921.html&BID=
