grapevine241
Pacquiao to fight in Japan or Qatar? by Michael Rosenthal (RingTV.com) Manny Pacquiao has offers to fight in Japan or Qatar this year if he beats Shane Mosley on May 7 in Las Vegas, promoter Bob Arum told the Manila Bulletin. Arum, who expects Pacquiao to fight again in November, said he was approached by officials in Tokyo and Doha, the capital of Qatar. The Middle Eastern country is scheduled to host the 2022 World Cup. Arum said the Tokyo Dome, which seats 55,000, was mentioned as a potential site. That was where Buster Douglas shocked the world by stopping Mike Tyson in 1990. Pacquiao reportedly is a sensation throughout much of Asia. The Bulletin reported that he recently brought his family there, though, which might’ve increased interest in him. He hasn’t fought outside the United States since he outpointed Oscar Larrios in the Manila area in 2006. The fighter said recently that he plans to fight for about three more years. http://www.ringtv.com/blog/2689/pacquiao_to_fight_in_japan_or_qatar/
WelshDevilRob
Seems very plausible. Qatar seem to have money to burn while Japan has a good boxing scene.
londoner
I don't care where he fights. He'll sell out anywhere. Maybe one day he could fight at Wembley! I know i'm dreaming, but would be great if he did. Maybe against Kell Brook (if he becomes a star) in 2 and a half or 3 years time.
