The_budweiser
Unbeaten super featherweight Eloy "The Prince" Perez of Salinas will be targeting well-known opponents like Jason Litzau and Rocky Juarez this year as he moves into what his manager calls "the next phase" of his professional boxing career. Perez (19-0-2, 5 KOs), currently No. 2 in the world by the WBO, is promoted by Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, which mandates that all of his future bout will be televised, said Kathy Garcia, who manages "The Prince" for Salinas-based Garcia Boxing. Garcia said she's targeting Feb. 18 as a return date for Perez, possibly as the headliner of a Telefutura "Solo Boxeo" show at a casino in Washington, where he was born and reared. "We're thinking that one probably will be a get-back-in-the-ring type of fight, and then we might fight (No. 1 contender) Terdsak Jandaeng in a title eliminator," she said. The reigning WBO world champion is Ricky Burns of Scotland, whom Perez hopes to fight later in the year. http://www.montereyherald.com/rss/ci_17084301?source=rss&nclick_check=
