Duddy vs Lee Possible For Martinez-Dzinziruk Card

By Lem Satterfield

According to trainer and manager Emanuel Steward, middleweight Andy Lee (24-1, 18 KOs) of Detroit could possibly face John Duddy (29-2, 18 KOs) of New York on the Sergio Martinez-Sergei Dzinziruk undercard on March 12 at either the WaMu Theater in Madison Square Garden or the Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Connecticut.

Lee has been a winner of nine consecutive fights with six of them coming by way of knockout, including four straight, since suffering his last loss by seventh-round knockout to Bryan Lee Vera in March of 2008.

HBO will televise Martinez's defense of the WBC middleweight title against Dzinziruk. As of right now there are no plans for a televised co-feature, but discussions are ongoing and HBO is slowly changing their position picking up an opening fight.
