Yet another barmy decision by the WBA

This is from fightnews.....

WBA light heavyweight champion Beibut Shumenov (10-1, 6 KOs) will still be defending his title on Saturday in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. However, instead of WBO champion Jürgen Brähmer who was a late scratch, Shumenov will now face 40-year-old former three-time WBA middleweight champion William Joppy (39-6-2, 30 KOs), who was scheduled to fight on the undercard. Joppy received emergency WBA approval for the fight despite being winless since 2007.
