Harrison 'close' to securing comeback deal

Former Olympic super-heavyweight champion Audley Harrison has revealed he is close to signing a deal to complete his boxing comeback.

Harrison suffered three knockout defeats in his last seven fights as a professional, most notably to David Haye in 2010 and David Price in 2012. The 42-year-old was beaten by Deontay Wilder on his last outing in April 2013, shortly before he announced his retirement from the sport in May.

According to World Boxing News, 'A-Force' is reportedly in the frame to fight for the vacant British heavyweight title, which was recently dropped by Liverpudlian Price before he joined Team Sauerland.

Harrison, a two-time Prizefighter champion, confirmed in a recent Twitter Q&A that he was working hard on a deal to secure his return to the ring.
