This is the story of William O'Driscoll, legendary bare-knuckle fighter from the early years of the 20th century. Part one: How William O’Driscoll became Bill the Winner The year was 1907 and at the age of 18, Bill was recruited as a freedom fighter for the IRA with a few of his friends. They used to use Bill and his horse and barrel-top wagon to sneak bombs and guns through the British road blocks, hiding them under the horses and in their old gypsy barrel-top wagons.
