boxrec
http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/0/07/Aarronmorgan.jpgDebutant Watch heads to the capital to feature East London’s Aarron Morgan. Aarron, who fights out of the Islington Boxing Club was a successful amateur who won two national ABA titles. After narrowly missing out on selection for team GB, Aarron has now decided the time is right to transition into the pro game. Aarron, 25 will make his debut Friday night on Mickey Helliets' fight card held at the Camden Centre in Kings Cross. He will take on Slovakian Vladimir Tazik in a four round light-middleweight contest. What made you want to start boxing? “I started boxing primarily to lose some weight when I was 16. I was about 95 kilo’s and had seen the great condition boxers get into so I chose boxing to get in shape. Once I started training I wanted to put it into practice and have stuck to it ever since.” Did you have a boxing idol when you were younger? “Being from East London Nigel Benn was my favourite fighter. I am really interested in the legendary fighters like Duran and Chavez. I am a real student of the game and a boxing historian.” More...
