To make the most money Saturday night, you'll have to make sure you bet smartly. There's no sense in gambling if you're simply going to focus on all the long shots that will never happen. You also don't want to choose the bets where there's little profit to be had.

Manny Pacquiao on Points: 3-to-1

Before Wednesday, perhaps you could see a future in which Rios won this fight.

After the fight between Freddie Roach, Alex Ariza and Robert Garcia, however, you can lock it in that Pacquiao will win this fight. As Kevin Iole of Yahoo! Sports reported, tempers flared between the two camps, leading to a physical confrontation.

Revenge will likely be sitting squarely on Pac-Man's mind. As if he wasn't already prepared enough to atone for the loss to Juan Manuel Marquez, seeing his trainer physically assaulted and then berated will only add fuel to the fire.

The question then becomes how he will win.

Pacquiao hasn't won a fight by knockout since 2009. In that time, his skills in the ring have no doubt diminished. He's taken a lot of punishment, and you can see that it has adversely affected his ability.

You can remain confident that Pacquiao will win, but this one will be going the distance.

Some might say you should diversify your bets and spread the wealth. That way, you'll have a better chance of winning multiple bets, and having one outcome go the wrong way won't completely kill you.

I say phooey to that. Double down on this fight going to the judges' scorecards.

Quite frankly, the Pacquiao fans have seen in the last six fights isn't the same fighter who knocked out Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton and Oscar De La Hoya.

Pac-Man will still go on the offensive and take the fight to Rios. But he likely learned from the Marquez loss and will not take quite as many chances so as to not leave himself open for the kind of punch that could end the fight.

Call this one the Kevin Malone Principle. As the former Office character said, "If anyone gives you 10,000 to one on anything, you take it."

Sure, these aren't quite 10,000-1 odds, but the likelihood of Rios winning in the first 60 seconds is arguably less than that of John Mellencamp winning an Oscar.

There's no sense in arguing about this from the point of view that it's going to happen. Almost certainly, you'll never again see any money you devote to this bet.

But the odds are so large that all it takes is a couple of bucks, and you've got a nice return coming back should it actually happen. It's a low-risk, high-reward bet for sure.
