East Side Boxing Posted November 15, 2013 Share Posted November 15, 2013 Horden boxing prospect Anthony Hardy (2-0) tangled with Chris Bennett (1-1) on October 19th – scoring a forth round knockdown and winning the fight on the scorecards. Bennett was an equally-seasoned amateur and squared-up 1-0 pro (prior to the fight), and he gave a solid account of himself in a competitive opening three rounds. Hardy really got down to business in the forth and final round; decking the Newcastle resident and putting on an exemplar display of heart to lock in his undefeated record. This bout, taking place at the Rainton Meadows Arena in Tyne and Wear, was scored a 39-37 decision victory for Anthony Hardy by the lone judge, Mark Curry. Bennett’s high-hopes were quickly marginalized from that of Hardy, who displayed his burgeoning boxing ability through multiple accounts in an all-around difficult outing. In this fight, Anthony Hardy himself, along with fans, promoters, and media, were elucidated to the positive and negative qualities of Hardy, and “The Hitman” is working hard to accentuate the first of the two words.
