The show at Newcastle’s Centre for Sport is the inaugural event for Ringstar Promotions, the recently-established promotional company founded by former pro Mark Clauzel, and undefeated Ismay is delighted to be in at the start.“It’s so refreshing to have a fighter, and not just a past fighter who’s been retired for 10 years but someone who’s just finished, as a promoter,” said Ismay of Clauzel, who retired this year at 6-0 on medical grounds.* “He knows exactly what we’re going through.* People don’t realise how important things like day before weigh-ins are; it’s my first and I’m looking forward to that more than anything!* He’s pulling all the stops out, with the ring walks and lights, and it’s going to be a great show.* I can’t wait.” More...
