East Side Boxing Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 SAN CARLOS, CA (November 12, 2013) – The incredibly athletic Bruno “The Aloha Kid” Escalante is getting his first shot at 115lb gold when he fights for the vacant IBA Super Flyweight Championship against Michael Ruiz (9-3, 3 KOs) of Fresno California. The ten round bout will take place on December 7th at the Sports House in Redwood City California. Escalante (10-1-1, 5KOs) has garnered attention over the past year from boxing insiders who have been impressed with his agile footwork, quick hand speed, and his deceptive power. The Cebu, Philippine born fighter has grown into his capabilities and has secured his position within the ranks. After growing up in the Philippines during his early years, Escalante moved to Hawaii before making a home out of California.
