East Side Boxing Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 JAMES ‘JAZZA’ DICKENS says he cannot wait to return to the ring and put right the mistakes he made in his British super-bantamweight title clash with Kid Galahad two months ago. The plucky Scouser defends his English title against Barnsley’s tough Josh Wale at the Robin Park Centre in Wigan on December 14. Dickens built up a steady lead on the judges’ cards against Kid Galahad, real name Barry Awad, before running out of steam and being stopped in the tenth round. He admits he needs to conserve more of his energy in this next contest and go back to the silky style which earned him a reputation as one of the country’s best young boxers. “I don’t want to make any excuses because Barry was very good on the night and I take my hat off to him, but I know what went wrong,” Dickens, 16-1 (5 KOs), said. “When I watched the fight back I thought ‘why am I moving so much?’ I think I was too eager to please the crowd.
