Baltimore-Pittsburgh III to take place at “Festival of Fists”!

Baltimore, MD (November 9, 2013) – Promoter Jake Smith of Baltimore Boxing Promotions will put his team from Baltimore against top fighters from Pittsburgh at the “Festival of Fists” Saturday, November 16 at William Myers Pavilion in Baltimore. Tickets staring at $25 are available by calling 410-375-9175 or going to baltimoreboxing.com. Those who purchased tickets for the postponed October 12 card may present it on the 16th to gain admission. Baltimore Boxing Club heavyweight Sam “Vanilla Gorilla” Crossed faces Pittsburgh’s Donnell Daniel in the main event of the evening. The popular pugilist gained major notoriety in the beltway region by scoring a thunderous four second knockout in his last bout. Since his scintillating knockout, Crossed’s been in the gym preparing for his next challenge. Former Golden Gloves middleweight titlist Jerome Featherstone looks to get back on track when he faces Rashid Kitpatrick of Pittsburgh. On August 31, Featherstone lost a decision to Kevin Ottley, marking the first time he was defeated on a non-national level. Featherstone, who Smith calls a phenomenal natural talent, starred as a wrestler at nearby Boys Latin High School and had a solid collegiate career at Oklahoma State University.
