boxrec
http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/9/9e/Iasaaclowe.jpgMorecambe featherweight Isaac Lowe (5-0) takes his first six round fight at the Blackpool Winter Gardens on November 15 and has been picking up tips and advice from close friend, heavyweight Tyson Fury. “I'm very close pals with Tyson,” explained Isaac, who has three stoppage wins on his slate so far. “It's always good to have a great boxer around you and it's great to have someone like Tyson. He's going to be a future world champion and if I can learn just a few of the tips he's taught me then it will be perfect. He helps with my training and makes me want to train harder and be like him. He started off the same as me and he's great to be around. It's the same with Jamie Moore too, I do a lot with him down at [promoter] Steve Wood's gym and if I can learn a little bit of what they've done in their careers then I'll be a great fighter.” Fight fans can watch Isaac's next fight free on the internet with the show being streamed live on vipboxing.tv. Part of a 15-fight card featuring local man Jack Arnfield against dangerous veteran Max Maxwell, as well as Amir Khan's brother Haroon in his third career outing, Lowe is promising a standout performance. “My idols were Ricky Hatton and Mike Tyson because they were proper fighters,” said Isaac “You didn't sit there all night and watch a boring fight over 12 rounds; they would get in there and entertain. And that's the way I box. When people come to watch me they're guaranteed their money's worth. I don't like to mess around; I like to get them out of there as my record shows. If I get any sort of chance for a stoppage then I'll grab it with both hands. “This has been a great year for me, Steve [Wood] has been great; this will be my sixth fight and hopefully I'll get out in December too. Next year will be bigger and better. I want to be fighting the best and I want people to recognise me next year.” Weight doesn’t appear to be too much of an issue for the confident Lowe: “I don't care what weight division I'm in, I'll take them all down. I want people to know that when I box I'm not just there to get the money and go; I want to box the best and show who ‘the man’ is. I'm not afraid of anybody and I want titles. There's no-one to stop me." Promoter Steve Wood stated: “People need to start following this kid because he's very exciting. It's going to be a great ride watching his career and he's always going to be in entertaining fights. He's looks to take people out every time he gets in the ring and we'll be looking to step up him up very soon because he looks ready. I'm really excited about this Blackpool show with the likes of Arnfield, Khan, and Massey on, it's really great value and if fans can't get a ticket then they can watch live and free on vipboxing.tv.” The undercard at the Blackpool Winter Gardens also features Lancaster’s Tomi Tatham; Cumbria’s Rick Skelton; Bolton heavyweight Paul Drago; Accrington’s Adam Machaj; Holyhead’s Mark Evans; Liverpool’s Dean Swanson and James Metcalf; Southport’s Scott Moonan; Derbyshire’s Jack Massey; Preston’s Dean Halsall, and Bristol’s Michael Ramabeletsa. Debutant Ian Hallsop from St. Helens will also appear. More...
