Wheelchair
Former middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik is off the big November 13 Pacquiao-Margarito pay-per-view card in Dallas. “The Ghost” was sidelined by a rib injury, Top Rank President Todd duBoef confirmed on Monday in Los Angeles. http://www.fightnews.com/Boxing/pavlik-injured-off-nov-13-card-65164
Johnny Walker
Here we go again. I have to say Pavlik is plagued with misfortune, one way or another, despite my belief that other matters are actually at play behind the scenes. BTW - his new body tattoos look awful. grapevine241
i wish there was a way that injuries had to be verified before all these fights got canceled. that way we would know which ones are legitimate and which ones are not. (btw, not saying pavlik is faking or anything, just in general...)

Personally, as much as I like who he appears to be, I suspect his career is already over....except for the shouting. Sorry if that sounds grim....it's a feeling I cannot shake. (btw, not saying pavlik is faking or anything, just in general...) I agree, Grapevine. There seems to be a acceptance of the injuries anymore, but not that many years ago they used to make the guy go to a friggin' doctor and the commission exam the hell out of the Medical Report before they'd officially excuse him from the fight. Now they seem to operate on a Trust System, much like if Kelly Pavlik's Mom had called into Grade School for him, "Kelly's Ribs are hurting, I'm keeping him home on November 13th". Injuries are a part of Boxing, but too many of these guys are pulling out of fights for them all to be legit.
Mooreman
They tried to make me go to rehab, but I said NO NO NO

Skav
And to think I purchased a Pavlik Affliction shirt in Vegas some years ago. He was big back then.
Faulks
Kelly is gone by the looks of it. All the stories about his drinking look like they're true and it appears it injury after injury these days. Perhaps he is no fit state to train these days anyone seen any recent clips of him training? Not turning out to be the best of cards this
davemurphy
Pavlik does seem to be involved in more than the usual amount of cancellations.... Yeah, he appears to be a heavy partyer and a somewhat reluctant warrior, and the injuries have been so plentiful that it's kind of hard to accept that there's not something else at play here. You wonder at what point Top Rank will get tired and cut him loose or match him up to lose in a Cash Out fight.

donlevy
Don't believe he's injured at all.I do believe that he's an alcoholic with alot of personal issues not relating to boxing though.

He's covered his entire upper torso with tattoo's which to me looks ridiculous given his extremely pale pigmentation. He looked drawn physically. Sure, he's always been thin.....but it was different this time. All that talk about Bute next year.....I never bought into it. No way they will put him in with a talented southpaw......especially one with true one-punch power in a higher weight class. Pavlik may very well be done, IMO. Johnny- I tended to beleive the Bute Talk simply because I think Top Rank is getting disgusted with Pavlik and they might just want to Cash Out on him without really caring whether he can win it or not. You might be right but it's a moot point now. I don't think Pavlik's closest associates would allow him in with Bute if they feared Williams.
