Quigley reaches middleweight final; Fowler withdraws through injury

http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/b/bc/Quigley.jpgJason Quigley has become the first Irishman to reach the AIBA World Championships final by beating Russian Artem Chebotarev for a place in Saturday's middleweight final at the World Amateur Boxing Championships in Kazakhstan.

Quigley, the current European champion, received a standing count in the second but was still too strong for Chebotarev

England middleweight Anthony Fowler was forced to withdraw from his semi-final due to a hand injury, meaning Quigley will face Kazakh Zhanibek Alimkhanuly in tomorrow's final.
