He doesn't give any details, but I think Jimmy has opened himself to all kinds of problems with this tweet. As Gav just mentioned, he could get sued if he names a name, but IMO if he just keeps it to himself then he deserved all the criticism coming his way for doing a disservice to the sport by not bringing it to the commissions attention. Also, how did NOBODY else at Ringside see it and mention it? This doesn't sound like quiet Jimmy Lennon at all, it's almost like his twitter got hacked....or he's suddenly lost his mind.

I went to look at Boxrec to see his recent fights that he has done. But they don't have one, like they do judges, boxers etc..

I went to look at Boxrec to see his recent fights that he has done. But they don't have one, like they do judges, boxers etc..

 

He does Showtime and one of the Spanish langauge channels I think...so that should narrow it down

He just said on Twitter, he was in mexico and visited the famous image of the Virgin of Guadalupe.

 

So maybe it was a card near there.

Ok, another "first" for me. I won't say when, where or who but a judge scoring the bout was talking on his cell during much of the fight

 

--- Just phoning in his results like anyone associated with the fight business is prone to be.

 

Maybe next time he'll just make the one call for his pizza and beer to be delivered ringside to quell any controversy, eh?

"He" - unless Mr Lennon is being extremely sly, it was a male judge. I still say he's purely seeking attention and should thus be ignored rather than receive the clamour he's looking for.

Jimmy tweeted me back that he and others did indeed report it to the officials, so my faith in him was restored, he didn't just turn a blind eye to it.
