Re: The Pittsburgh Kid rises to challenge for World title once again

Attempting to tie Marciano's record, I thought that only applied to Heavyweights?

--- Any boxing record can be tied. 49-0 has been approached and sometimes surpassed by many in many divisions, but what hasn't been surpassed is the intensity and ferocity of the record that Marciano retired with in what came to be known as a "golden era" because of the multi-fight rivalry between Rocky, Charles, and Jersey Joe that took place in a short span of time. Valuev, Dariusz, and Holmes all greatly improved their marketing by promoters using Rocky and Joe Louis records.

Wlad is coming up fast on Joe's 26-0 mark, lookout!
