boxrec
Sheffield's Kid Galahad weighed in at 8st 9lbs 5oz for tomorrow night's British super bantamweight clash with Liverpool's James 'Jazza' Dickens, who tipped the scales at 8st 11lbs 8oz. The action unfolds at the Magna Centre, Rotherham and will be televised live on Channel 5. Although both unbeaten, Galahad (14-0), trained by Dominic and John Ingle, goes into the fight as favourite against Scouse southpaw Dickens (16-0). Galahad's promoter Mick Hennessy told the Star earlier this week: "Dickens is a dangerous fighter, but this is the fight Galahad needs for people to sit up and take notice of him. "We want him to fight for the European title later in the year, and then we'll be looking at the likes of Frampton and Quigg, because he's better than the pair of them." More...
