boxrec
http://static.boxrec.com/wiki/1/12/Jazza_Dickens.jpgRicky Hatton believes James 'Jazza' Dickens can beat Kid Galahad at his own game when they clash at the Magna Centre in Rotherham on September 14. The pair contest the vacant British super-bantamweight title. The Hitman feels Dickens has what it takes to become the latest Scouser to take a Lonsdale belt back to Merseyside, after recent months have seen Paul and Stephen Smith add to domestic titles already held by David Price, Tony Bellew and Kevin Satchell. Hatton said: "Kid Galahad is tricky and likes to move, but so does Jazza. He's quick, strong and was a top amateur so has the boxing brain to suss out Kid's style. "I've said before that I think Jazza is a bit of dark horse at this weight and I think he can surprise a few people with a fantastic performance." Hatton's long-time nemesis and former WBC light-welterweight champion Junior Witter has trained at the famous Ingle gym for many years, and while he admitted the match-up isn't a foregone conclusion, he picked Galahad to come out on top. Hatton says: "Junior is obviously going stay loyal to his stable mate. I'm Jazza's promoter so I'm loyal to my fighter. "I don't think this fight is going to be like a lot of people are predicting. I think it's a real pick 'em fight, but I think Jazza will win a close battle." Jazza Dickens versus Kid Galahad is promoted by Hennessy Sports and will be televised live on Channel 5. More...
