Is Bradley vs Marquez a 50/50 fight?

Re: Is Bradley vs Marquez a 50/50 fight?

I see this as a very even match-up and get the sense that both fighters have alot of backers for victory.

The bookies, I suspect, will have Marquez as the betting favourite but how do you see it?

--- Can't get a handle on the fight because both have soaked up a lot of punishment recently. Marquez looks to have been slowing down in his last fight also and Bradley may not have full use of his legs from the Pac fight forward which would force a new style adjustment on him.

I see a cautious counterpunch clinic, but if I use their general styles previous, I see Bradley becoming bold and unorthodox with success before Marquez counters him back to earth and then back to cautious counter clinic, but really, who wins on an impossible to score decision will be one of boxing's great mysteries. Marquez is the money fighter for whom a win puts him into his biggest payday ever with the Pac rematch, but only if Pac beats Rios. Lots of ifs, ors, or buts in the next few months.

I think everyone is selling Tim Bradley short. Okay, he rolled his ankle and didn't fight the best fight against Pacquiao, and he certainly looked vulnerable as he fought Provednikov aggressively......but I really think the style matchup makes him at least even money to get by Marquez. I think JMM is getting too much love based on the Pac KO, he really WASN'T looking too good up till the final punch, everyone seems to be pushing that off to the side in lieu of the end result.

The biggest challenge for JMM I think will be landing many clean, solid shots on Bradley. He's not a power puncher like Provodnikov, not against natural welters like Bradley. Ergo he can't hope to score another one punch ko like he did against youknowho. So he must outwork Bradley. And while he still has the stamina to last into the later rounds and do well, its more questionable how much he is able to land against a guy who won't be coming forward all the time like Manny did.

Bradley, though I hope to be wrong as usual. I think Bradley has shown himself to have tremendous heart and determination when the need arises, and though he's average at everything else, I think he's got size and youth and speed on his side, so Marquez is in for a bit of a bad night.

--- In the ring it's a straight even bout because of wide contrasting styles and recent performances make it impossible to gauge what they have left in their quivers and how they might fight.

I'd have favored Bradley substantially prior to both fighting Manny. In my review, I noted that Marquez is the 2nd most favorite fighter in Vegas next to Floydy, thus he should edge in as the marginal betting favorite. I expect another awkward fight because Marquez is not an offensive minded fighter and Bradley has had some scares to take the edge off his offense. Only be interesting if someone gets hurt.
