East Side Boxing Posted September 2, 2013 Share Posted September 2, 2013 Rob Hunt is ready to put a nightmare 2013 behind him. The Stafford welterweight hasn’t fought since his Prizefighter defeat back in January and has also had his share of troubles outside the ring. Hunt’s Prizefighter tournament, at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall, came to a premature end when a clash of heads with Mark Thompson in his opening fight left him with a deep cut on his right eyebrow. Doctors inserted eight stitches in the wound, which ended Hunt’s hopes and the 27 year-old hasn’t fought since. Away from boxing, Hunt was wrongly accused and thus subsequently cleared of sexually assaulting a woman he met in a Stafford nightclub back in April. Now though, with his name rightly cleared and a good training camp behind him, he is ready to prove himself in the ring once again when he faces durable Brummie, Andrew Patterson.
