Khan's next opponent will not be Maidana

Heard this earlier and its either Katsidis or Joel Casamayor next according to Sledgehammer.

There really is nothing appealing about a fight with Casamayor.Khan is a horrible matchup at this stage in Casa's career and would expose him for the old fighter that he is.Katsidis is nice match but his trainer says he doubts that it'll happen.

He has'nt called either of these out, its just proposals for an opponent as happens with every fighter...but there is no surprise what so ever here, he said that he was looking to take a fight before Ramadan and then look to take on Maidana afterwards, has everyone got amnesia on here or something ?//

I seem to remember him saying "lets have a semi final, me and maidana"....nothing about "lets put that off for a year though"

TBF I think Katsidis will knock Khan out and that is probably why it won't happen.

to me katsidis looked stiff legged when he fought mitchell, good result for katsidis, but mitchell is light years away from khan in terms of class and ability, if it happens ill put all my points on khan to beat both katsidis and madaina!!!

Casamayor was supposed to be fighting on the Marquez-Diaz Rematch PPV in late July(that few of us think is neccessary), I wonder if he's off of that. I'm assuming it won't be a case of Khan joining that card, or do you guys think that's a possiblity?

if i had to guess its probably money, i dont think casamayor would hesitate to fight a junior lightweight at junior welterweight on a fairly big PPV card.

Casamayor is another one that's hit a point in their career where they can't afford to be as picky as they once were.
