WelshDevilRob
Team Pacquiao: Floyd Mayweather Demands More Money By Mark Vester If a fight with Manny Pacquiao is back on the table, Floyd Mayweather Jr. wants more money than previously offered at the start of the year. Earlier this year Mayweather agreed to a 50-50 split on the money. This second time around the former five division champion wants a bigger slice of the pie. If Mayweather wants more than 50-50, Pacquiao's lawyer and business manager have said the fight "will never happen." “We just got word that it seems to be that way,” said Pacquiao’s lawyer, Franklin Gacal to The Philippine Star. “But we will never agree to that." Mayweather has based his new demands on the pay-per-view numbers. His buyrate for the May 1 Mosley pay-per-view was 1.4 million and he is matching it up against Pacquiao's number of 700,000 for the March pay-per-view with Joshua Clottey. Gacal says Mayweather is looking at the wrong event and should focus on Pacquiao's buyrate for last November's fight with Miguel Cotto, which did 1.25 million buys. “It’s the Cotto fight they should look at and not the Clottey fight. And it’s pretty even, so we’re sticking to the fifty-fifty percent split between Manny and Floyd if they ever fight,” said Gacal. Pacquiao’s business manager, Eric Pineda, was also advised that Mayweather wanted a bigger share of the money. “Yes, we were told that Floyd now wants a bigger share. And if that’s the case, we now feel that he really doesn’t want to fight Manny because Floyd knows we will never agree on that,” said Pineda. The news comes down only days after Pacquiao agreed to Mayweather's prior demand for random drug testing to take place until 14-days prior to a tentative fight date. The second time around, Mayweather may request for the testing to continue until the day of the fight. Source: www.boxingscene.com

Andre00
Don`t start making conclusion, and attacking the fighters, i can show you guys 10 articles biased towards floyd jr. and 10 articles biased towards Manny, i been reading them all !!! people just writing "nonsense" Maybe there was a rumor of a "insect" and they write about it and make it an "elephant" !!! It was clearly stated that the negotiation this time would be low key and private, i do not understand why Arum/Roach are doing all these interviews and giving remarks etc I don`t hear anything from the other side of the table, only Arum/Roach are blah blah. To be honest i think Arum are using counter tactics against Floyd and team, I mean Floyd is on vacation and Ellerbe mentioned bout 2 weeks ago, they have not gotten any word or offer by Manny and team. Back in the days, a fight would be made, no one cared about PPV, negotiations, demands etc Leads me to the conclusion that the damn MEDIA is ruing boxing !!! Wheelchair
I'll only believe the fight is on when they're both in the ring and the opening bell sounds.
