LondonRingRules
I seen this posted elsewhere quite interesting ------ Tis quite interesting and my noggin went to spinning: 1. If the gates were adjusted for inflation, there'd be a massive shake up in positions. 2. Tyson was in the most fights with 7 followed by Oscar with 6. 3. With other Goldenboy fighters appearing 11x, that gives GB fighters 17 places out of a possible 70 fighter places, tops. 4. This is all post prime, post jail Tyson, and who else could attract so much money for fighting Seldon, McNeeley, Bruno, ect? Talk about a one man mint! 5. The 1906 Gans fight had 8000 of the wealthiest Americans available who paid a small fortune just to travel much less see the fight. In adjusted dollars, in today's donuts, I'm certain that gate was worth more money than any in this top 35. 6. The 1910 Jeffries/Johnson fight had 16,000 paid with 15,000 unpaid milling about on the outside, unable to fit inside the specially constructed grandstands. What we know about scalping, ect, with that type of demand, in adjusted dollars that's probably worth the first 5 of the provided list combined. The purse alone was worth $200,000+
brooklynbrawler
The most surprising one for me is Joe Calzaghe vs Bernard Hopkins at number 9! It shows that he could have probably done something spectacular vs the right opponent in his final fight, if he never went for Jones Jr.

Faulks
Yeah Bernard in 8th and 9th.. The Calzaghe fight was riding on a crest of a wave. The pound was strong (Very) and it was the April after the Mayweather v Hatton fight. There were a lot of none boxing fans going over for it if i remember rightly. I remembered getting hammered with a load of Welsh who couldnt name another 3 fighters Joe had fought but were there to support him anyway.
