WelshDevilRob
Finally Cory Sprinks is returning to the ring after a year out. Spinks (37-5, 11 ko's) will defend his IBF light middleweight title against Cornelius Bundrage (29-4, 17 ko's) at Chaifetz Arena, Saint Louis, Missouri, United States on June 12th 2010. Promoter: Don King

davemurphy
There's a better card shaping up for St.Louis in August, with Devon Alexander defending his title, Kotelnik or Judah being disccussed, and Tavoris Cloud-Glen Johnson as the co-feature. To be honest, I think Coreys had his run and the downgrade from Savis Center to Chaifetz Arena, which holds about half as many people is kind of telling. When he fought fellow hometown product Lattimore, most of the crowd was in Deandre's corner and cheered wildly when he dropped Spinks in the opening round. To be honest, I don't think a lot of St.Louisians would be all that upset with a K9 upset.
Wheelchair
Seeing the thread title and knowing of all the comebacks, I thought for a moment it was Leon Spinks fighting!

Though not sure why Judah keeps popping up. I remember he popped in the ring and tried to issue a challenge and was rightly laughed off and dismissed by Alexander "I'm the future your the past". More interesting for me is Tavoris Cloud a fighter who I uploaded his fight with Gonzalez and it was hot property, many wanted it. He beat Clinton Woods (who gave a good last stand) but Cloud has been inactive when really he should be fighting regular and getting in a position to have a big fight with Chad Dawson. Tavoris Cloud looks a quality fighter - top draw but my question to you, Dave as your more in the loop on US fighters is.... Why has his career seemingly stalled? Why the inactivity? Why has his career seemingly stalled? Why the inactivity? Rob- Don King strikes again. Cloud was with Richie Boy Promotions, and then his Trainer Al Bonani left Richie Boy and returned to work for King, and suddenly Don's got a contract with Cloud. Sure coincidence, as you can probably guess :) http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/news/story?id=4961013
grapevine241
cloud has the worst management of any active contender in boxing. then on top of that, they got him to sign with don king just when he was breaking out, further stalling him
davemurphy
Yeah, I'm always fascinated when I see so many guys who spend all that time sitting on Kings Shelf and not making a dime the whole while, and then others joining his stable and thinking they're going to be any different. It's nothing new, it's been that way for years, but guys still fall for it. They always trust King when he tells them all the great things he's going to do for them, and once they're stuck in the mud then they act suprised.
