The_budweiser
Welsh hero Nathan Cleverly returns to action on Saturday 17th August when he headlines an action packed show at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena. The unbeaten star will make the sixth defence of his title and he will have the added incentive of making a big impression in America as TV giants HBO will broadcast his fight. The show will be televised live and exclusive in the UK on the Channel Of Champions BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546). davemurphy
Re: Nathan Cleverly returns to Cardiff, but awaits an opponent I can't imagine Kathy Duva turning this one down, I'd say Cleverly-Kovalev is go. I imagine looking at the rest of the card, that for HBO it will be a single fight telecast.

Popkins being made to fight Kovalev as a mandatory, no stops. Definitely a more lucrative fight and very winnable for Kovalev who can now play Warren off Golden Boy for big purse gains......go git'um kid. WelshDevilRob
Re: Nathan Cleverly returns to Cardiff, but awaits an opponent I never thought that I'd say that I was hoping Bhop vs Tarver happens but right now I am. If Bernard gets his clash with Antonio then that should free up, the way for, Kovalev to accept the Cleverly bout. ind, the IBF could strip Hopkins and then Kovalev fights for a vacant IBF title. One thing is sure, things sure seem to conspire against my fellow countryman.

brooklynbrawler
Re: Nathan Cleverly returns to Cardiff, but awaits an opponent Ah the good old Cleverly vs TBA fight again... :boxing26: With Hopkins being made to have a mandatory fight with Kovalev, then it makes the likelihood of a half-decent opponent for Cleverly anytime soon even more remote.
