iamasadlittleboy
It started at 8:30 UK time but I missed some of the early bouts. At the moment Danielle Smith and Arlene Blencowe are fighting in a peculiar double weight title bout (think Leonard v LaLonde). Blencowe is aggressive and terrier like, Smith is looking like an Arthur Abraham clone.
iamasadlittleboy
Re: Card from New Zealand 4-0 Blencowe On the card is a great Heavyweight match up between Joseph Parker and Frans Botha and a "Little People" fight for a dwarf world title (I shit you not!) iamasadlittleboy
Re: Card from New Zealand First round was very entertaining, second much close, they traded right hands at one point. Much better boxing but less entertaining. Colonel Bob has it 19-19 though 2. This is only scheduled for 3 rounds of 2 mins.

iamasadlittleboy
Re: Card from New Zealand Parker STOPS Botha in 2. Both was rocked, Parker went in for the kill and dropped him before the referee waves the bout off.
davemurphy
Re: Card from New Zealand Thanks for the report, Scott. Sounds like Botha is out of the game now. Was the dwarf fight more of a sideshow atmosphere or did they actually show some skills?
iamasadlittleboy
Re: Card from New Zealand It was a charity bout but clearly fought as a curiosity bout. Woods seem to have "some" skill but Lane's winging right hands that send him spinning were the highlight. (piece for weird boxing http://www.weirdboxing.info/4/post/2013/06/little-people-world-champion.html) Botha seemed to suggest he'd be back, tbh it was an impressive showing from Parker.
