iamasadlittleboy
Former world ranked Heavyweight Chauncy Welliver (55-7-5, 22) scored win #55 this past Sunday in Chile as he stopped Saul Farah (43-17-3, 37) in 3 rounds. This was the second victory for Welliver since suffering back to back losses to Sherman Williams and Kyotaro Fujimoto in 2012. Despite the victory Welliver left himself to some serious abuse by coming in to the ring at a grotesque 282lbs, some 32lbs heavier than he was in his lethargic effort against Fujimoto and a shocking 44lbs heavier than when he faced Williams. On the same card as Welliver/Farah, one of Farah's former opponents, Billy Wright (40-4, 31), defended his WBC Latino and PABA Heavyweight titles stopping the hapless Satana Guido (13-6-2, 9) in just 75 seconds! Wright, now 48 came in at what is thought to be his lowest career weight since 1999! For hardcore Heavyweight fans (I'm look at you Rob...) former world title contender Carl Davis Drumond (29-4, 23) suffered a shock stoppage defeat at the hands of Luis Andres Pineda (23-10-1, 19). Drumond, best known for losing a technical decision to Ruslan Chagaev was facing Pineda for the second time after claiming a decision over him back in 2008, though is now 3-4 in his last 7 contests. LondonRingRules
Re: Chauncy moves to 55 and Wright defends aged 48 . He was posting on boxrec for a while and getting savaged, so I told him he had some good talent but that he needed to give himself a chance by coming in at a reasonable weight, at least 30-40 lbs less. He eventually did that and became a contender for a Klitschko fight, he was on their short list, but then the set backs killed that. Seems like a fairly intelligent guy as he quickly figured boxrec wasn't for him either.

That should probably do it for Drummond as far as being a meaningful steppingstone.
