Heavyweight Darkhorse Destroyer

Thought I'd beat Sad to the punch with this little jewel of one of his unpolished little gems he likes to promote, Amir Mansour.

His opponent went the 6 round distance against touted Bryant Jennings in his very next fight as comparison. If you're a fighter with limited exposure as he is and you need a highlight to send prospective opponents scurrying in the opposite direction, here tis, lifted from fightnews comments concerning their latest article on Mansour:

Has much to prove yet, but will he ever get the chance before he's too old and feeble? Him against Stiverne would be brilliant me thinks after a tuneup against Friday Ahunanya if they want some higher level prep.

I promote YOUNG prospects, not 40 somethings who will never go on to anything major. Sure there is something there with Mansour and someone on boxrec has been hyping him on and off between visits to the prison but with Mansour you never know when he's going to be locked up next.

Mansour has been a pro since 1997, an almost 16 year career has been wasted with 8 of them spent locked up, had he kept himself out of prison however he would likely have managed to get a title fight.

Re: Heavyweight Darkhorse Destroyer

He blasted out the pitiful Dominique Alexander in 24 seconds last night. It was the second time that Alxander had been stopped inside 30 seconds (having been done in 20 by Shannon Briggs). Alexander has now been stopped inside a round by:

Krzysztof Wlodarczyk

Odlanier Solis

Shannon Briggs

Amir Mansour

Alexander has also been stopped by:

Tor Hamer

Jason Estrada

Mark De Mori

Deontay Wilder

Tony Grano

Cedric Boswell

Vinny Maddalone

Kali Meehan

Fres Oquendo

Glen Morgan

Have to say it but, over here Alexander wouldn't still be getting licensed.
