RINGNEWS24 Posted January 23, 2013 Share Posted January 23, 2013 *Former WBA light-welterweight champion Marcos Maidana has again expressed his desire to rematch Amir Khan, this time on social networking website, Twitter.Marcos said: "We [Khan] say it’s unfinished business. Let’s finish it April 20th…he owes me a rematch. He has a date April 20. We all know Khan WONT give me the rematch. But I just have some fun making him uncomfortable…Please dont ppl start saying weight is an obstacle for Khan to rematch me. He said today he’d fight Ortiz and Senchenko, who are welters..he owes me a rematch. & since he’s looking for a foe I’m ready for April.”Maidana looked unimpressive against Devon Alexander in their ten round fight at welterweight but on the flipside, impressed many with his destruction of Jesus Karass in September last year. Maidana ended 2012 with a fight in his native Argentina, knocking out Angel Martinez in three.Before their classic 2010 encounter, Maidana had to do everything he could to force Amir into the ring with him, even going as far as writing a letter to the WBA in September of that year to persuade them to make the fight.
