LEE McAllister in second defence

LEE McAllister will be hoping to make a successful second defence of his Commonwealth Lightweight Championship in Matchroom Sport's next boxing show.

McAllister, 27, won the title back in June and then knocked out countryman Charlie King in his first defence. McArthur now meets explosive Ghanaian Samuel Amoako at the Bellahouston Leisure Centre in Glasgow, Scotland.

Amoako, 25, has only lost once and that came in the third of his 22-fight career and he has never been stopped. McAllister, who has won 30 out of 32 professional contests, will have to watch out for Amoako's power as the African has claimed 11 knockouts in his 21 victories.

Leading the undercard is entertaining fighter Gary McArthur, who impressed during last year's Prizefighter Lightweight competition before a bad cut prematurely ended his semi-final clash against Stephen Burke. That loss is the only blemish on McArthur's 14-fight record but he could face a tough night as he meets former English Super-Featherweight Champion Ryan Barrett.

A host of talented, undefeated Scottish prospects will also be in action with Kris Carslaw (super-middleweight), David Savage (featherweight), Jamie McLevy (light-middleweight) and Paul McElhinney (featherweight) all scheduled to be appearing.

Former Scottish Champion Vinny Baldassara will also be fighting in Glasgow with England's Terry Carruthers awaiting him.
