TommyLeeWannabe
Hi, New member here, from Montréal, Canada. Boxing here is so popular and flourishing since 5-6 years. (everything began with Éric Lucas becoming world champion with his TKO over Glenn Catley) We have a lot of good boxers. Lucian Bute, Adrian Diaconu, David Lemieux, Jean Pascal etc. I want to know your opinions, your impressions over the Montreal boxing scene. What do you think about Lucian Bute ? the fights, the promotions, etc. Thanks to all of you. Oh and, you'll learn to know me. I'll write it down a couple of time but, I'm french-canadian. Sorry for my english !

gemmell100
the canadian boxing scene is looking good. pascal is a very good fighter. lucian but is a good fighter. but until he has fought a top super middleweight i cannot say he is in the top 3 in the division. his 0 should have went in the 1st andrade fight..he got ko'd in my books. lemieux on the other hand looks like he has great power. need to see him in there with a decent fighter before i make a call on him tho. canadian boxing is on the up tho!!! TommyLeeWannabe
David Lemieux is quite impressive but he didn,t prove very much. I was saying the same thing about Diaconu. I have to say he disappointed me with his fights agaisnt Pascal. God I hate Pascal !
Carden
I've really been impressed by the Canadian boxers, especially David Lemieux. I do agree that he needs to step it up and face some better competition, but he's done well with what he's been given. That's all you can really ask from him at this point in his career. LondonRingRules
David Lemieux is quite impressive but he didn,t prove very much. I was saying the same thing about Diaconu. I have to say he disappointed me with his fights agaisnt Pascal. God I hate Pascal ! ------- Pascal is very talented, but his balance is atrocious, ringmanship lacking, and if he proves unable to shake this shoulder problem, you may not see him much longer. To be fair, I doubt he has one of the better teams behind him. I've endured steady sniping for rating Bute quite highly for a couple of years now. That said, I'm gravely suspicious of the early one punch KOs of his last two fights. Not sure why he's calling out Popkins who will only look to stink the fight up, but that's a KO I could believe in and think of the fans he would win over if he finally knock's the ol' fool out of boxing. Wheelchair
Bute looks very handy to me. His stoppage of Miranda was impressive, and he's bound to give any super-middle a hard time.
roberto duran
bute is impressive but overrated imo.....ward takes him at ease, dirrell would take him and so would abraham, hopkins would school him to death aswell.
LondonRingRules
Re: Question to all of you, regarding Lucian Bute What do you think about Lucian Bute ? the fights, the promotions, etc. ------- Bute in many respects is a dream come true on a lot of fronts. Coming from one of the poorest and put upon Soviet states to become a Montreal icon with HBO coming to him on bended knee for business, now that's a savvy, professional team that knows how to deal! Boxrec and Ring #1 supermid and boxrec #9 P4P and one win away from cracking Ring p4p, popping the insanely rated Popkins would do it and destroy both the Ring and boxrec ratings. Looks pretty confident: http://static.boxrec.com/boxers/223046.jpg
Faulks
ive long championed Bute, i think he'd walk the supersix tourny. Its a shame he isnt in it but will carry on doing what hes doing until its over then probaly beat the winner.
