Miguel Cotto looks set to step up in weight to take on new WBA light middleweight champion, Yuri Foreman, following Manny Pacquiao's decision to take on Joshua Clottey.

Cotto will headline the night before the Puerto Rican Day parade show June 12 in the big arena at Madison Square Garden.

Foreman, a rabbi student and Brooklyn resident will be facing his stiffest test so far in his undefeated career.

At 28-0 Foreman will be coming off a great win over Daniel Santos, another Puerto Rican who'd previously beaten the highly touted Joachim Alcine in 6 rounds by ko to capture the title.

Cotto, still mourning his fathers sudden death from a heart attack whilst out driving, has had a torrid few months.

Losing amongst very suspicious circumstances to Antonio Margarito, whom was later banned for the loaded gloves scandal to the high profile defeat to Manny Pacquiao.

Cotto, a hugely popular warrior amongst almost all boxing fans, was rumoured to be retiring and a step up in weight for the powerfully built Cotto could be just the tonic to make perhaps his final year in the sport, one to remember for all the right reasons.

**edit** sorry got the story off LF
