Sky Bet make Colin Lynes their slight favourite to win the latest Prizefighter series, which takes place at Olympia on Friday.

The former IBO Light-Welterweight champion heads the eight contenders from around the UK bidding for the Light Welterweight Prizefighter crown and a prize purse of £32,000.

Former WBA Light-Welterweight champion Gavin Rees is the 3/1 second favourite in the betting in the straight knockout format and it's 4/1 for Lynes and Rees to contest the final.

Undefeated

Manchester's David Barnes, who held the British title at both light-welterweight and welterweight, is 5/1 for glory and former WBF Light-Welterweight champion Ted Bami is 7/1 along with the undefeated Michael Grant.

Barrie Jones, 24, who is the youngest of the fighters on show, is 10/1 and Jason Cook, who is the oldest, is 12/1. Hard hitting Young Mutley is the 20/1 outsider.

Sky Bet's boxing betting expert Scott Springgay said: "This is the most competitive field yet for a Prizefighter event with some outstanding talent.

"The early money has all been for Michael Grant to win and he's certainly in with a great chance however, I like the look of David Barnes to overcome a lay off from the ring with a hand injury and show he is back to his best and kick start his career again."
