Brick Top
Amir Khan could disprupt Ricky Hatton’s comeback plans by lining up Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez for his breakthrough fight in the United States. The 22-year-old Briton, who defends his WBA light-welterweight title against Dimitriy Salita in Newcastle on Saturday, regards the former world super-featherweight champion as his dream opponent in a bid to crack the American market in 2010. But Hatton, 31, who has not fought since his two-round knockout by Manny Pacquiao six months ago, also views Marquez as someone who could provide him with the chance to revive his career. Khan insists that, as the younger man on the way forward, he would make a better opponent and produce a better fight than Hatton. Khan said: ‘I think it would be a tough fight for Ricky to come back straight into after his last defeat. 'I would have thought he would take one easy fight to get back into it. But this is a tough one. 'Good luck to him, let’s see what happens.’ Khan is aware that first he must come through the first defence of his world title against his New York-based Ukrainian opponent, who is unbeaten in 31 fights. Khan’s trainer Freddie Roach said: ‘Salita’s a clever all round boxer. It will be tough but I feel Amir will knock him out somewhere along the way.’ http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/othersports/article-1231784/World-champion-Amir-Khan-looking-beat-Ricky-Hatton-punch-Mexican-great-Juan-Manuel-Marquez.html?ITO=1490

Faulks
Kahns a massive, yes guys a massive talent, under Roaches stewardship he's improving and i think those lightning quick hands would course JMM all sorts of problems. If this is the right time to be fighting him is a different matter
grapevine241
unless JMM has finally gotten old, i dont see khan being able to beat him. it wouldnt be like khan-barerra
RustyKuntz
Marquez will KO this kid quicker than he did Diaz and in a more brutal fashion. This kid still has a long way to go.
Graham
Unless Freddie has seen something to give him belief Amir can win this, I say JMM wins easily.

Faulks
Yeah in siding with Khan on this one, think he would be that little bit to quick. Though i'll reserve judgment until after Saturday
