DEVON ALEXANDER: "LOOK OUT FOR THAT TOURNAMENT COMING SOON"

By Simon Ruvalcaba | November 23, 2009

DEVON ALEXANDER:

"They working on a tournament, HBO tournament, so you heard it first from here. They working on a tournament now with 4 people. It's not going to be as long as the Super Six tournament. It's going to be like Don King did with the middleweights. It's going to be 4 people and 2 fights and they're working on that. Hopefully, March 6th will be the date. I got an HBO date for March 6th, but they working on a tournament, so we can get that started on March 6th," stated WBC jr. welterweight champion Devon Alexander as he talked about his future plans to participate in an upcoming HBO jr. welterweight tournament. Check it out!

im guessing it wont include the big names like marquez, pacquiao, hatton, and juan diaz. but maybe thats the prize for winning the tourament -- getting a fight with a big name?

or maybe they want to build the hype around someone who will eventually be able to challenge pacquiao or mayweather?

or maybe its simply a response to showtime's tournament, nothing else
