Brick Top
By Jason Hunton: (aka Brick Top mlol/) Amir Khan is the man to stop Manny Pacquiao. Why you may ask? The answer is glaringly obvious when you take all factors into account. People seem to be over estimating Manny’s abilities due to the nature of his recent ‘lucky’ victories, Oscar De la Hoya was clearly weight drained and even then still got the better of Manny until Nacho Beristain stopped the fight prematurely. Nacho was clearly looking to boost Pacquiao’s stock pulling Oscar out to set up a super fight between his long time pupil Juan Manuel Marquez and Pacquiao. Then of course there was the Hatton fight, Manny had a good first round granted, but was clearly losing the second round by a country mile until jet lag caught up with Hatton so he decided to grab a few minutes sleep. don’t be fooled into thinking it was a punch that put him down, it was in fact fatigue. Then of course we all know about the recent allegations of Pacquiao dabbling in enhancers shall we say in the build up to Cotto. I’m not going to get involved in these allegations, but Floyd Mayweather sr who originally brought this up is a man to be listened too. If Manny thinks fighting the likes of Barrera, Morales, Marquez, De la Hoya, Hatton and Cotto is sufficient preparation for someone of Khan’s calibre he needs to take a rain check. While Pacquiao was more interested in avoiding Valero, Juan Diaz, Paul Williams and Bernard Hopkins, Khan was earning his stripes fighting warriors such as Michael Gomez, Willie Limond, Oisin Fagan and Ryan Barrett. Now, onto Khan, it shouldn’t take much of an explanation to real boxing fans as to why Khan would Stop Pacquiao. Pacquiao’s being hailed as a big puncher as of late, that’s all well and good against average fighters such as Cotto, Marquez and De la Hoya, but when facing an elite fighter with a granite chin like Khan’s, a heavy left hand just wont cut it. Add to that Khans blistering hand speed which would leave Pacquiao bemused and his heavyweight punching power and I’m afraid its bad news for Manny. Khan would take Pacquiao out within 1 round, Roach knows this, Arum knows this too hence why we’re constantly getting told they will not meet. Only when Manny retires will Khan be let off the leash to reek havoc amongst the from 140lbs all the way up to Heavyweight. Don’t be fooled by the Breidis Prescott blip, Prescott is and outstanding technician second to only Khan in world boxing, unfortunately though there was a minor earth tremor just as the bout started which sent Amir off balance leading him to bang his head on Prescott’s glove, therefore the Knockdown was not a result of Prescott’s ability, but a result of mother nature. How do I know this to be true? Frank Warren informed me of this afterwards and we all know he’s an up standing member of the boxing community. Of course the referee also has to take part of the blame for this for not consulting the Met Office prior to the bout for earthquake forecasts, but this has since being rectified by the BBBoC by making the checking of forecasts by officials compulsory. The only way Pacquiao has a chance of seeing it out to the final bell and losing a wide UD rather than being knocked out is to fire the joke of a coach Freddie Roach and hire Joe Santiago who with his fantastic ability could maybe devise Pacquiao a suitable game plan to save part of Pacquiao‘s pride .So Manny Pacquiao, stop avoiding Khan by trying to set up easy fights against the likes of Mayweather Jr and take on the real pound for pound king. http://www.boxingnews24.com/2009/11/why-khan-would-stop-pacquiao/

WelshDevilRob
Some of the comments/replies just show that some people 'attempting' to read that site don't understand English. Some of those people replying actually thought the article was serious - there is no hope for humanity. Very well written, Jase. I really laughed out loud. mlol/
