Vitali Klitschko - Manuel Charr Preview and Prediction

Written by Jon Campbell

On the 8th September, long-time WBC Heavyweight champ Vitali Klitschko (44-2) has his 9th defence and 17th career title fight against undefeated Syrian Manuel Charr (21-0) who like Klitschko has fought out of Germany. They both surprisingly make their Russian debut as this bout takes place in Moscow.

Klitschko is 9 months away from being a decade undefeated, which really is a testament to how dominate of a fighter he has been. This is considering the fact that both his losses have been through injuries were Vitali was ahead of the scorecards. He wishes to extend this extraordinary career with an undefeated contender on his resume.

Charr now has earned his title shot and a chance to make a memorable and rare upset with regards to Heavyweight championship. He has ended 11 of his bouts by stoppage on the way to his title shot. His notable wins include names such as Owen Beck, Sherman the Tank and former victim of Vitali Danny Williams.

This bout I predict will be extremely easy for Vitali unless he has suddenly grew twenty years since his last bout or he has not trained at all, both of which I find unlikely. I do not wish the disrespect an undefeated fighter, who clearly possesses reasonable skills, and getting to the stage where he is at is admirable, but Vitali is head and shoulders above the Heavyweight division, besides his brother of course, and there are fighters besides the brothers who outmatch Charr.

To conclude, Vitali if he does not mess around should get Charr out of there within 4 rounds. My prediction, giving him a margain of error I see a 5th or 6th round stoppage.

Boxnation have bollocksed up by not showing the undercard.

Andrey Meryasev defeated Muhitdin Rajapbaev (TKO10)

Glazkov wins the opening round against Konstantin Airich

Also if Bunce wants to say that boxnation aren't being sent the fights that's boxnations issue not the home broadcaster, I'm watching an English stream at the moment.
