WelshDevilRob
Ricky Burns and Kevin Mitchell - Head to head exclusively on BoxNation!
brooklynbrawler
I wasn't sure how a head to head between two mates, without the spice and the trash-talking would pan out, but I actually quite liked this. Pretty refreshing to just see two guys being totally honest and telling it how it is. I really think this will be a great fight and though I like Mitchell, I'll be hoping Burns comes out on top again. There aren't many fighters who are genuinely so down to earth and likeable and of course I have to back my fellow Scot! mlol/
iamasadlittleboy
Who would win in a nice off, Geale or Burns?
Meathead
Both Mitchell and Burns are nice lads. It can be a gift and a curse though. I like Burns a lot but he lacks spite. Mitchell can be spiteful in the ring and it may be that which decides this fight.
The_budweiser
A bit too tame for my liking with a Face-Off, interviewer should of asked better questions, maybe used some of there press quotes.
gavpowell
I don't give a toss about all this preamble bullshit, I just want to get to the part where Mitchell gets his ass handed to him.
WelshDevilRob
BURNS AND MITCHELL GET READY TO RUMBLE WITH BUFFER ANNOUNCING BATTLE OF BRITAIN Legendary ring announcer Michael Buffer says Glasgow will be bigger than boxing's capital Las Vegas when WBO World Lightweight Champion Ricky Burns and Kevin Mitchell clash at the SECC on Saturday 22nd September. Buffer has swapped the bright lights of Sin City for the hard streets of Glasgow and will belt out his immortal phrase "Lets Get Ready To Rumble" moments before the historic Auld rival showdown which is live and exclusive on BoxNation (Sky Ch. 437/Virgin Ch. 546). The smooth talking MC has introduced just about every great boxer in the last 30 years from Sugar Ray Leonard, Mike Tyson and Oscar De La Hoya to modern day greats Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao He was last in the UK in July for the heavyweight grudge fight between David Haye and Dereck Chisora at West Ham United and didn't need to be asked twice to cross the Atlantic again for the Battle of Britain. "When offered the chance to come to Glasgow for this fight I jumped on it." Said Buffer. "When two of the best in a division agree to fight each other, I want to be there. When the fight is to be held in a great venue like the SECC, it makes it even better and better again when the rivalry and fan bases are added to the mix. Forget about Las Vegas or Madison Square Garden as I expect nothing less than a roaring crowd and a great fight. After thirty years of announcing fights, I'm still a fan and still love the energy of a big time event like this one."
