Otley Snr
He won a title (WBO) He beat a living legend (George Foreman) He had a great hook (Some great stoppages) He was all action (Which got him in trouble) If it wasn't for his chin and lifestyle I think we might have seen one of the Greatest White heavyweight Champions I do believe he was unappreciated and I miss his left hook come forward style way of fighting. If we had a similar fighter today he would be box office and probably Champion of the World. Job Biscuit (Miss the Duke)!!! eh eh!!!
Sheils
He was an exciting fighter, but probably reached his natural limit. His chin let him down and Lewis, who suffered twice at the hands of hooking punchers, gave him the ultimate boxing lesson. There are currently 2 white h-weight champions, both of whom would beat Morrison. It is fair to say that whilst he was an active fighter his profile was as high as it could be! WelshDevilRob
He had a fantastic career in the end considering the defeat to Ray Mercer. They met when both highly tipped prospects. Morrison was all action and had tremendous power. His career really was helped by the Rocky movie interms of profile. His partying lifestyle probably did hold him back to an extent. davemurphy
I never missed one of his fights, but to be honest, if Tommy Morrison hadn't been white, then I don't think he'd have attracted half the attention he did. He had a big lefthook, but not the best chin, and he scored some decent wins but usually let us down in the major fights. He beat Foreman simply because he had better legs than did the 44 year-old man who was never that fleet to begin with, and I also think his team knew the outcome if he'd have engaged more with GF, eventually his chin would've given way. A hype job with moderate talent, I thought he did well to accomplish what little he did.
Crusader
He was definitely a boxer spectacular and exciting to follow, personally is one of the heavyweights of which I have always tried all fights, is honest to admit that the color of his skin and the part in the movie Rocky gave him a nice showcase of popularity and attention He had fame and popularity and I think at the end of his career can be satisfied, other exciting heavy white left-handed as he (Gerry Cooney & Corrie Sanders) have not had the same luck (and the same gains)
