Robert Ortiz vs. Florencio Castellano & Gilberto Ramirez vs. Richard Gutierrez To Be Featured On August 25 Doubleheader From Tulum, Mexico Which Will Be Televised On Televisa In Mexico & FOX Deportes In The U.S.

 

LOS ANGELES, August 17 - On Saturday, August 25, some of the Mexico's most promising young talent will be on display when Roberto Ortiz of Torreon takes on Colombia's Florencio Castellano and Gilberto Ramirez of Mazatlan battles Miami's Richard Gutierrez at the Palacio de Dome de municipal del la ciudad de Tulum in Tulum, Mexico. The doubleheader will be televised in Mexico on Televisa and in the United States on FOX Deportes.

 

In the 12 round main event, unbeaten Ortiz (25-0-1, 21 KO's) defends his WBC Silver Super Lightweight title for the fifth time against Castellano (16-6, 13 KO's), while in the co-main event, scheduled for 10 rounds in the middleweight division, undefeated Ramirez (22-0, 19 KO's) takes on veteran contender Gutierrez (26-9-1, 16 KO's).

 

Ortiz vs. Castellano, a 12 round bout for the WBC Silver Super Lightweight title set for Saturday, August 25 at the Palacio de Dome de municipal del la ciudad de Tulum in Tulum, Mexico, is presented by Golden Boy Promotions and Pepe Gomez Promotor Deportivo and sponsored by Corona, Periodico QueQui, Quintana Roo Tourism and Cancun Tourism. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. CT and the first fight begins at 7:00 p.m. CT. The Televisa broadcast will air on Canal 5 at 10:30 p.m. CT and the FOX Deportes broadcasts will air at 10:00 p.m. ET/7:00 p.m. PT.
