WelshDevilRob
Poland's 6'7 Mariusz Wach. 32 year old, Wach has wins over Kevin Mcbride, Julius Long and Tye fields in recent bouts. Wach is unbeaten with a record of 27-0, 15 KOs. Is this a good fight for Wlad or is he taking a soft option?
riz
I thought it was confirmed? Dude, ever heavyweight fighter is a soft option I think. Wach is at least big, and at least with two big guys we could get a decent fight. Wach comes to fight and puts combos together. He'll at least go down fighting. If we get an entertaining fight isn't that better then we would expect from most heavyweight fights? If someone is willing to put some effort into winning against Klitshcko, the fight is more entertaining even though the guy gets smoked out. Ask Tony Thompson. iamasadlittleboy
I think it's just a case of Wlad going through the guys who want to fight him TBH.
riz
Hard to disagree with that. Now there are many who want to fight him but want more money etc., or just aren't serious about it. Wach's a big guy. I like to see big heavyweights fight man. For those of you who are MMA fans know that even though some of the fighters aren't the best, you may get a good fight out of it. WelshDevilRob
There was talk of a Cris Arreola fight. Arreola is not the best but he'd be an interesting fight. This Wach guy has beaten Tomato Cans and out of date Tomatoes, at that! Its another joke fight. The only thing he has is height. Is he even rated? Joe Ko
Beaten cans but ko'd Mcbride, something Adamek couldn't do. Wach is ok I suppose but again like Scott said another opponent to go through

Pretty sure Arreola was offered the fight and said no, what is Wlad to do? Force Arreola and Povetkin into the ring?
WelshDevilRob
Beaten cans but ko'd Mcbride, something Adamek couldn't do. Wach is ok I suppose but again like Scott said another opponent to go through Ko'ing McBride in the 4th is more to do with McBrides stamina, rather than anything powerful. Wach other best wins are Julius Long - KO 7th. Long was Ko'd in 2 many years ago by Audley Harrison. In his last fight he took 6 rounds to Ko, the chinny Tye Fields - Fields was Ko'd in 1 by Prospect Mike Perez. This fight isn't official but Wlad shouldn't be fighting this sort of opponent. An ancient Mormeck was bad enough.

irondave85
Source? Plus the reasons why. Dan Rafael reported that his management team decided not to pursue a fight with Wlad. Didn't say why, but I believe he has a high ranking with the WBC, so maybe they're targeting that belt when Vitali retires?
riz
If Arreola wanted the fight, we definitely would've heard him complain about it by now.
WelshDevilRob
Disappointed in Arreola but understand it. There is alot of waiting around in the Heavyweight division. Boytsov is a master of it. But saying that why is Ustinov suddenly fighting Pulev?
Ton
What's happened to that Perez since winning prizefighter? I think he's too small, but had decent ability, but some people were getting excited about him?
iamasadlittleboy
He's fought twice, beating journeyman Zack Page and Friday Ahunanya, but both of those fights were last year.
