While the fights will be more competitive without them, it won't be long before people start crying out for a solid champion. Let's face it, very few challengers deserve to be champ. If Errol Spence doesn't take advantage of his new life in the Olympics and grab a medal, I suppose we can look forward to another four years of seeing Wilder billed as the Last American Medalist and fighting stiffs. If you go to your website, the first media you mention is the Tuscaloosa Magazine..............which is pretty stunning to discover that enough people living in Tuscaloosa, Alabama can read to support a periodical. I'm sure they feature your joke fights prominently. Have a great career, write us a letter sometime so that we can follow it, because that's the only way we'll ever hear about it. I think you hit the nail on the head, Scott. In fact, I think the problem with his whole operation is that nobody tells anybody the truth, it's all a big sham. The sad possibility is that many involved, including Wilder himself apparently, buy into it. He's as clueless to his own faults as was Toro in the book The Harder they Fall. In the end, Wilder will flop, end up alone, and they'll move on to someone else.....I give it another year or two before he faces a real fighter and the balloon pops. I think people like a dominant champion. What they dont like is the opposition being poor. If a guy beats the best and the level of competition is good then people will follow. Its the unfortunate thing about the Klitschkos. I personally dont think they would be as successful in harder times, but they are good fighters. Meathead Posted August 10, 2012 Share Posted August 10, 2012 I would have. They should have. Its different though. Both Kiltschkos get almost universal admiration in the press, much like Louis did. Watching Sky Sports, as an example, fall over them is enough to make you lose your lunch. If forums existed back then though it would have been different. You dont have to go far to find Klitschko critics online. You wouldnt have had to have gone far to see Louis crtics with a proper medium for them to get there views across.
