iamasadlittleboy
Just read that experienced Heavyweight Chanucey Welliver 53-6-5 (20) will face Japanese bruiser Kyotaro Fujimoto (4-0, 3). Although Welliver lost last time out (to Sherman Williams) this is still a HUGE step up for Kyotaro who, if he wins, will likely jump up well into the WBC top 40! Joe Ko
Wow is a step up for 5th fight. Take into account, Sherman Williams was beating Evander Holyfield but he got stopped on a cut, he is a good fighter
iamasadlittleboy
TBF Kyotaro is a much more experienced fighter than his record indicates, he was a huge K1 star before turning to pro boxing.
brooklynbrawler
I'm sure I read that Welliver was going to be facing another relatively big name earlier. Must have mixed him up with someone else...

gavpowell
Welliver's shot at Vitali never materialised then? Amazing. Also, is beating Evander Holyfield really still a sign of quality? I mean I wouldn't fancy my chances but I think anyone with boxing experience could reasonably expect to beat him these days.
